This post is brought to you by the letter Q.
I didn't intend for our first date to be at that month's Queer Student Union Coffee Night. He asked me over for a movie. I countered with a viewing of a French film with my French class. He had a doctor appointment. The next evening I had planned to spend socializing with some friends at Vienna for the March Queer Student Union Coffee Night. So I suggested he go with me.
The rest, as they say, is history.
I didn't intend our first date to be a test, but I do think you can learn a lot about a person by the way they act around and interact with a group of people who call themselves queer--particularly a group of people who call themselves queer in the middle of the State of Indiana.
Anybody who can be slung into a queer event and--(1) not flip out, (2) not be awkward, and (3) mingle well--is probably a pretty cool person.
What situations do you think reveal a person's character?
